Founded in 2006 by Radhika Raina Gupta, Origin Design Studio is a Nagpur‑
based multidisciplinary design atelier. Rooted in a legacy of crafting—from brand identity, product design, murals, and illustration to spatial experience—Origin occupies a distinctive space at the intersection of design, art, and environment.
Here, every project is a considered extension of our core belief: design is more than aesthetic. It is an act of intention. Whether shaping a brand or sculpting a room, we pursue depth, coherence, and quiet impact.
Our Journey
Origin began in 2006 with a singular intent—to design with meaning. What started as a passion project under the name Origin quickly evolved into a full-fledged design practice. In those early years, we were not confined by a single medium. From identity systems to book layouts, handcrafted invitations to woven carpets and sculptural lighting—if it could be designed, we embraced it.
This multidisciplinary beginning became our foundation. It taught us how to think visually, how to work with craft, and most importantly, how to listen—listen to materials, to people, to purpose.
As our understanding of design deepened, so did our focus. We gradually transitioned from objects to environments, applying our love for detail and materiality to interior spaces. We didn’t just want to design rooms—we wanted to shape atmospheres. The kind that hold emotion. The kind that last.
Over time, what emerged was a design voice rooted in quiet strength. Our work stopped chasing trends and started seeking timelessness. Every texture, tone, and line was treated with intention. Every space was approached like a story—told slowly, with depth and clarity.
Today, Origin stands as a boutique studio for luxury interiors, led by a strong sense of narrative and an unwavering eye for detail. We still carry the soul of our beginnings—craft-led, intuitive, and curious—but our expression has matured. It is now bolder in restraint, confident in simplicity, and forever loyal to thoughtful design.
